The RealServer 5.01 is available for the six assorted flavors of the Windows NT, UNIX,and the Windows 95. RealServer requires a 6 MB of RAM plus the 40 KB RAM for each of the simultaneous stream (approximately a 10 MB of the available memory to support a 100 concurrent connections). Although the dedicated machine is preferable, and the requirement if we are expecting lots of hits, The RealServer can theoretically run off the little-used PC.

Installation of a software is relatively simple and documentation is good. There are few known bugs, but if we have the problem, just check out a FAQ and download a patch that corresponds to the error.

A RealServer do take the video/audio file, make the segments of it, and sends a pieces to the buffer on the hard drive. The buffer then renders a packets together to play like the continuous file, resulting in the smooth, a high-quality track with the painless download time.

The RealPublisher can generate a file we need to make all this work, but we are much better off knowing what is going on in case of something that breaks. So, to stream the ".ra" file, start by creating the corresponding ".ram" file (that tells the RealPlayer to receive the file from the RealServer as the stream, rather than the download). The ".ram" file is the text document that do contains the simple string, like this:

Name the file with the ".ram" suffix, like "vyom.ram," and then upload it with the "vyom.ra" file. The ".ram" and ".ra" files can reside anywhere in the web server, as long as a filepaths are correct. Next drop a call for the "vyom.ram" into the HTML, like so:
